Abstract

Objective To explore the development and improvement method of fixed blood donors team, and to analyzd the present situation of Zhangjiakou fixed blood donors team. Methods According to the blood collection and supply data(from 2008 to 2012), fixed blood donors were screened out by year, and the number, composition, age distribution, donate blood year and occupation of the fixed blood donors were analyzed. Results In Zhangjiakou, the number of fixed blood donors increased form 4 678 in 2008 to 7 469 in 2012. The number of continuous fixed donors increased form 2 101 in 2008 to 3 306 in 2012, the number of returned donors increased from 518 in2009 to 886 in 2012, and the number of new donors increased from 2 577 in 2009 to 3 277 in 2012. The number of the3 categories of fixed blood donors who donated blood and apheresis platelet was increasing year by year. The number of fixed blood donors in farmers and workers was larger than that in others. Conclusion Although the number of fixed blood donors in Zhangjiakou is continuously increasing, the ratio of fixed blood donors who donated whole blood is relatively inferior to that in developed countries, and it is under an unbalanced increase situation. Propaganda should be strengthened to keep a better team of fixed blood donors.
