Abstract

During the phase of the Han and Qin Dynasties, the agricultural production developed rapidly because of the optimization of the agriculural environment, the regulation of the productive relations, physiocracy, and the stimulation to the commercial economy. The rapid development of agriculture in the Han and Qin Dynasties was characterized by such aspects as the expansion of the cultivated area, the development of agricultural science and technology, the proliferation of agricultural and sideline products. The development of the agriculture in the Han and Qin Dynasties promoted the prosperity of the society and economy, laid the foundation of all-round development of the Chinese traditional agriculture and deeply affected the later-generations′agriculture at home and abroad. Therefore, the agriculture in Han and Qin Dynasties possesses the significant position in history.
