Abstract

Women had an important status in agriculture, handicraft industry and business in Qin and Han dynasties. Women's economic status in Qin and Han dynasties, which was determined by economic structure, ownership of farmland and ideology, was predominant than that of their offspring. But they cannot get the level in matriarchy.
