Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule 1(sICAM 1) in sera of patients with hepatocarcinoma. Methods ELISA technique was used to detect sICAM 1 levels in sera of patients with primary liver carcinoma and normal controls. There were also compared for different stages of the hepatocellular carcinoma. Results Compared with those in normal control, the levels of sICAM 1 were greatly elevated in liver cancer. Moreover, sICAM 1 was higher at the stages Ⅲ and Ⅳ than at stagesⅠandⅡof liver cancer. Conclusions sICAM 1 was clinically of great significance to diagnosis of primary carcinoma of liver and its level could predict the recurrence and metastasis of hepatic carcinoma.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
