Abstract
Objective:To evaluate clinical application of CTPI in cerebrovascular disease in the acute or superacute stage. Methods:All of the patients were examined with conventional CT and CTPI after onset of stroke within24hours.Results:In20cases,5superacute cases and13acute cases showed negative results on conventional CT and2acute cases had ischemic lesions.Twenty-three lesions were found by CTPI and confirmed by follow up CT and?or MRI.All the lesions showed de-layed peak time(PT)and mean transmit time(MTT)and the relative flow(RF)were decreased markedly than that of the oppo-site normal cerebral tissue(P0.001).Con clu sion:Combined with regular CT and MRI,CTPI not only could show the is-chemic lesion, but also could distinguish ischemic penumbra from ischemic lesion. It’s useful for thrombolysis and other medi-cal therapy.
