Abstract

Objective To analyze the features of thyroid nodules of ultrasonography, aimed at improving accuracy of benign and malignant about thyroid lesions, especially for single nodule in thyroid. Methods Review the features of ultrasonography about thyroid lesions and the pathological results after operation,a total of 143 patients. Results Ultrasound diagnostic accuracy is 57.1% about single nodule in 28 cases,it is 69.6% about multiple nodules in 56 cases, and 96.6% about diffuse nodules in 59 cases.Making radiography by ultrasound which one is considered to be malignant in single nodule, then accuracy is improved to 78.6%,for other types the improvement is not obvious. Conclusion Thyroid lesions which have low echo level, microcalcification, and no envelope,no acoustic halo,no cystic degeneration are considered to be malignant ones.Ultrasound radiography is considered to have statistic meanings in distinguishing benign and malignant about single nodule in thyroid.
