Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the clinical values of multi-slice spiral CT angiography(MSCTA) in diagnosing aortic aneurysms.Methods:Twenty-one patients with aortic aneurysms were performed by spiral CT angiography, shaded surfacedisplay(SSD),multiplanar reformation(MPR),maximum intensity projection(MIP),volume rendering(VR) were sued to reconstruct the image of axial view. Results:SSD,MPR showed the panorama of aortic lesion, extent and size of aneurysm, intimae flake and the relation between it and arterial branches. The location of crevasse was showed;MIP could show the calcification and extend of aneurysm.Lesion was reconstructed and observed on any angle. The intratumorally thrombus and crevasse was showed clearly;MPR could display the mural thrombus, intimae flake and the true and false dissecting aneurysm. Conclusion:The technology of MSCTA for aortic aneurysm diseases provides a safe and reliable means of diagnosis, clinical treatment has important significance.
