On the Social Security of a Harmonious Society

While building a harmonious society and promoting social fairness and justice have become the objective of the Party,social security is of great importance to lessening the inequality between income and wealth distribution,to diminishing the gap between urban and rural areas,to maintaining the stability of the society,to stimulating a balanced socio-economic development and to building a harmonious society.It is imperative to decide on a reasonable 'degree' to which our social security should be set up in line with the conditions and requirements supplied by the economic and societal development.So it is to rationally define and concordantly handle the interests of the component parts within the system of the social security and the relationships of interests between the various parties so as to act in concert in establishing a social security system adapted to a harmonious society by mobilizing the enthusiasm of all the sides related.
