Analysis of clinical efficacy of amiodarone combined with metoprolol in treatment of arrhythmia

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of amiodarone combined with metoprolol in the treatment of arrhythmia. Methods A total of 90 patients with arrhythmia who were admitted to our hospital from January 2009 to December 2012 were selected and randomly divided into two groups: control group and observation group. The patients in control group were administrated amiodarone alone, while the patients in observation group were administrated amiodarone combined with metoprolol. The treatment outcomes of the two groups were observed and compared. Results There were significant differences in the total clinical effective rate, premature contraction before and after treatment, and blood pressure between the two groups(P0.05), while there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse drug reactions between the two groups(P 0.05). Conclusion Amiodarone combined with metoprolol have significant clinical efficacy and are safe and reliable in the treatment of arrhythmia.
