The Investigation of Indigenous Groundcover Plants of Shenzhen City and Their Landscape Application

Abstract

Based on the investigation of indigenous groundcover plants in three selected areas in Shenzhen city,about 120 species suitable for application in city greening were recorded,including 28 families,84 genera.Bqsed on their landscape application and ornamental characteristics,they were divided into three types:(1)Evergreen groundcover plants,55 species;(2) Flower groundcover plants,16 species;(3)Foliage ornamental groundcover plants,49 species.Their shape and ecological habit were analyzed,and some opinions and suggestions about the landscape application of indigenous groundcover plants were given.
