Clinical Observation of Huanglian Jiedu Decoction Combined with Metformin in Treating Type 2 Diabetes

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Huanglian Jiedu decoction combined with metformin in treatment of type 2 diabetes. Method 260 cases with type 2 diabetic were randomly divided into observation group and control group,130 cases in each group. The patients in two groups were adjusted diet and exercise routine treatment,the patients in the control group were treated with metformin,the patients in the observation group were treated with Huanglian Jiedu decoction combined with metformin,the treatment cycle was 3 months. After treatment,the clinical effects of two groups were evaluated,and the levels of FBG,2hPBG,HbA1c before and after treatment in two groups were compared. Results After treatment,the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 90. 77%,significantly better than that(72. 31%) of the control group(P 0. 05); the levels of FBG,2hPBG,HbA1c of the patients in the observation group decreased significantly,compared with the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0. 05). Conclusion The effect of Huanglian Jiedu decoction combined with metformin in treating type 2 diabetes is significant,it is worthy of being recommended in the clinic.
