Neither Chinese nor Western,but either Chinese or Western——A review on Jiang Meng-lin'soul of Chinese and Western culture

In modern times,when Chinese culture had been suffered the heavy cultural crisis,Jiang Meng-lin,who had been influenced deeply by both Chinese and Western culture,advocated to establish the value of traditional culture of China again and rectify the Western culture with Chinese one.Meanwhile,he used the Western standard to re-estimate and elaborate Chinese culture to set up a new culture integrating Chinese and Western elements which can meet the requirement of a modern China.Jiang meng-lin's viewpoint reflected the sustained aspiration of a patriotic scholar for a better way toward Chinese modernization.
