Abstract
The high-sulfur bauxite was preroasted in muffle furnace, rotary tube furnace and fluidized bed to investigate the effects of roasting temperature and roasting time on the desulfurization performance.Pre-roasting kinetics of different roasting modes was also studied. The experimental and calculation results indicated that the sulfur content of roasted ore decreased with roasting time at the roasting temperatures of 750 and 800℃.The apparent activation energy values of roasting process by both muffle and rotary tube furnaces were 46.895 and 33.090 kJ/mol,and 505.727 kJ/mol by fluidized bed.
