Abstract

[Objective]To study and evaluate the clinical value of Sparfloxacin in treating multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis.[Methods]42 cases of MDR-TB were divided into two groups,21 cases in the treatment group treated with Sparfloxacin(0.2/qn) and 21 cases in the control group treated with Ofloxacin(0.2/tid).The anti-tuberculosis plan was conducted with 3 S_pL_2ZPTh(E)/9 S_pL_2Th for the treatment group and 3 OL_2ZPTh(E)/9 OL_2Th for the control group.Comparative treatment was conducted for 3 months, sputum negative conversion rate,Xray changes and side effects for drugs were observed.[Results]The sputum negative conversion rate was(71.4%) in the treatment group;the difference was significant compared with the control group(28.6%)(P0.05).No significant difference was found in the comparison of treatment period(P0.05).X-ray absorption rates of the two groups were 90.0% and 78.9% respectively;closure rates of cavities in the two groups were 90% and 78.9% respectively, the difference was significant(P0.05).Relapse rate was 0% and 21.1% respectively within the two years of following-up(P0.05).Neither of the two groups was found with serious side effects.[Conclusion]Both SPLX and OFLX have clinical effect, but the former one have more advantages like small dosage, short treatment period and low relapse rate.
