Abstract
How to realize wide use of the 6A02 aluminum alloy in automotive engine,it has an important role for the development of engine.The range of the proper extrusion speeds is one of key factors to realize the tube extrusion of 6A02 aluminum alloy.Taking the extrusion process of 6A02 aluminum alloy tube(Φ29 mm×4.5 mm) as an object of study,the influences of extrusion speed on the load and the peak temperature of billet at die export were investigated based on DEFORM-2D software.It is obtained that the range of optimum extrusion speed is about 35-45 mm/s for the extrusion of 6A02 aluminum alloy tube on 250 kN extrusion press.
