Clinical Observation on Amlodipine Combined with Atorvastatin in the Treatment of Primary Hypertension

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of amlodipine combined with atorvastatin in the treatment of primary hypertension. METHODS: 104 patients with primary hypertension were randomly divided into two groups(n=52). Observation group were treated with amlodipine combined with atorvastatin and control group were given amlodipine alone. Clinical efficacies, blood pressure and pulse pressure were observed and compared between two groups. RESULTS: The total effective rate(92.3%) in observation group was significantly higher than control group(76.9%). There were statistical significance in difference between two groups(P0.05). After treatment, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and pulse pressure decreased significantly. Statistical significance was noted in difference between before and after treatment(P0.05). Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and pulse pressure in observation group after treatment were significantly lower than counterparts in control group, statistical significance was noted(P0.05). CONCLUSION: Amlodipine combined with atorvastatin show sound effect on primary hypertension, lowering blood pressure and pulse pressure.
