Abstract
We carried out electromagnetic transient studies on disengaging feasibility and standby applicability of 500 kV HV Reactors in Guangdong main transmission channels, focusing on power frequency over-voltage,switch-on and single-phase reclosing operating over-voltage,secondary-arc currents and recovery voltage, and load rejection operation over voltage when HV Reactors running in and out of working, then put forward requests for system operation and operation mode. The actual application shows that the research findings are of significance to comprehensive utilization and optimized configuration of equipment.
