Abstract

A method for the determination of trace selenium in dexamethasone acetate by microwave-assisted digestion with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry was reported in this paper. The results showed that when the content of trace selenium in dexamethasone acetate was determined by using 4 mg/mL Pd(NO3)2 as a matrix modifier, ashing temperature of 950 ℃,atomization temperature of 2 100 ℃ and rectifying background by deuterium lamp, the calibration curve for selenium was linear over the range of 5.00~100.00 ng/mL(r=0.999 2) with a detection limit of 0.53 ng/mL and the recovery was 89.24%~112.37% with the relative standard deviation of 7.42%.The method was suitable for the determination of trace selenium in eexamethasone acetate with the advantages of being simple, rapid, sensitive and accurate.
