Abstract

Objective:To assay the positive expression rate of estrogen receptor(ER)and progesterone(PR)in endometrial carcinoma, and study its relationship with prognosis. Methods:ER and PR of32cases of endometrial carcinoma were measured by immunohistochemical method. Results:The positive expression rates of ER and PRwere53.1%and50.0%separately in endometrial carcinoma.Positive expression rates of ER and PR were related to the differentiated degree of tumor. The positive expression rates of ER and PR decreased gradually along with the grading increase of tumor tissue(P0.05).ER positive expressionwas related with the depth of myometrial tumor invasion. Conclusion:The levels of ER and PR are associated with the biologic behaviors of endometrial carcinoma, and assaying the levels of ER and PR is important in predicting prognosis and selecting clinical endocrinotherapy.
