Abstract

Objective:To investigate HIV infection status among heroin addicts in Liuzhou city. Method:Anti-HIV test was carried out in 270 heroin addicts with HIV Detecting Box provided by the Second Institute of the Ministry of Public Security .The whole blood was collected from the ring fingers of the heroin addicts. Result: Among 270 heroin addicts 42(15.56%) showed HIV positive result. Conclusion: There is a rapid spread of HIV infection among drug users in Liuzhou which should attract the public attention.
