Research on Sichuan Dialect in Song Dynasty with Historical Documents

Modern Sichuan dialect can be traced back to Yuan dynasty by the immigration history,although it is difficult to know its details in and before Song dynasty.However,we can get a survey of this dialect in Song dynasty as a result of textual research.The author has read through a vast amount of documents written by scholars in Song dynasty,and discovered 11 items of phonetical features and two appellations of Sichuan dialect in that dynasty.From this we can get a tentative but reliable understanding of Sichuan dialect in Song dynasty.
