Abstract

Objective To determine the arsenic content of inhabitantb drinking water and whether there is endem- ic arsenic poisoning in Anyang.Methods To detect the arsenic concentration in drinking - water and survey the preva- lence of arsenic poisoning in the fecal areas in Anyang,according to the distributive pattern of drinking - water type endemic arsenic poisoning.Results Collect 1584 water samples in 77 villages of 32 towns belonging to 5 countries in Anyang. There are 21 samples whose concentrations of water arsenic overprooof,with the rater 1.33%,9 villages whose water arse- nic is high and 6 patients of drinking - water type endemic arsenic poisoning in 2 villages.Conclusion There is drinking - water type endemic arsenic poisoning in Anyang,not other environmental pollutions,belonging to drinking - water type endemic arsenic poisoning.
