Abstract

Objective To study the relationship among different levels of CRP,WBC count and neutrophil percentage. Methods Serum levels of CRP,WBC count and percentage of neutrophils were determined in 90 cases with infection, and 90 normal persons were selected for control. Results There was significant difference in WBC count and neutrophil percentage between patients with high level of CRP(CRP50) group, various infection group and control group(P0.01),and there was no difference in patients with low level of CRP(P0.05).CRP and WBC,NEU was a certain percentage of the value of a positive correlation. Conclusion Examination of serum level of CRP is better than determination of WBC count and N% in patients with infection, especially in low level of infection.Detection of them can be helpful in diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
