Report of Adverse Drug Reactions:Analysis of 137 Cases

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the characteristics of the adverse drug reactions(ADRs) in Jiangsu Provincial Tumor Hospital so as to provide reference for clinic rational drug use.METHODS: A total of 137 ADR cases collected from June 2008 to June 2011 were statistically analyzed in respect of patients' age and sex,route of administration,categories of drugs that induced ADR,the organs or systems involved and the clinical manifestations etc.RESULTS: A total of 55 drugs were involved in the 137 ADR,with 44 cases(32.12%) induced by anti-infective drugs and 33(24.09%) by antineoplastic agents.108 cases(78.83%) were induced vial intravenous drip infusion.49 cases(25.65%) manifested as damage of skin and its appendants.CONCLUSION: ADR reporting and monitoring should be strengthened to achieve rational use of drugs and avoid recurrence of ADR.
