Abstract
Objective To study the expression of cyclooxygenase\|2(cox\|2), bcl\|2 and bax gene in human gastric carcinoma tissues and the relationship between cox\|2, bcl\|2, bax and the apoptosis of gastric carcinoma cells. Methods S\|P immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of cox\|2, bcl\|2 and bax in 60 cases of gastric carcinoma and their adjacent noncancerous tissues, and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase\|mediated dUTP nick end labeling was used to detect the apoptosis in above tissues. Results The positive rates of cox\|2 and bcl\|2 in gastric carcinomas were significantly higher than those in the adjacent noncancerous tissues(P0 05). The positive rate of bax in gastric carcinomas was significantly lower than the adjacent noncancerous tissues(P0 05). The index of apoptosis in gastric carcinomas was significantly lower than the adjacent noncancerous tissues(P0 05). Conclusion The apoptosis of gastric carcinoma cells correlated with the expression of cox\|2, bcl\|2 and bax. The high expression of cox\|2 up\|regulation the expression of bcl\|2 gene and down\|regulation of bax expression made the inhibition of apoptosis of gastric carcinoma cells.
