Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effects of lamivudine and interferon-2α in treating liver fibrosis due to chronic hepatitis B.Methods Sixty-eight patients who had HBV-DNA and HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis B were divided into group A and group B,in which the lamivudine and interferon-2α were administered respectively. After 24 weeks treatment, the changes of ALT,HBV-DNA,HBeAg and the indexes of liver fibrosis were observed in both groups. Results Twenty-four weeks later, the normalization rate of group A and group B was 83%,85% respectively and the negative-conversion rate of HBV-DNA was 84%,85% respectively,no significant differences were seen between two groups(P0.05).However,the negative-conversion rate of HBeAg in group A and group B was 20%,50% respectively, with significant difference(P0.05).The indexes of liver fibrosis before and after treatment in two groups were shown as follows:HA:281.3±112.6,78.4±56.5 and 275.4±107.4,80.6±46.9;PCⅢ:167.2±94.3,91.4±46.6 and 163.1±96.4,89.8±41.9;C-Ⅳ:120.8±111.3,60.2±40.2 and 119.4±113.2,61.5±341.3.In those indexes, the significant differences were seen before and after treatment in each group(P0.01) but not seen between two groups after treatment. Conclusion Lamivudine and interferon-2α have the effects of antivirus and anti-fibrosis.
