Abstract
Objective To investigate the chemical constituents of the fruits of Citrusm edica L..Methods The chemical constituents were isolated by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography.Their structures were identified on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis. Results Eleven compounds were isolated and identified as 7-hydroxycoumarin(1),5,7-dihydroxycoumarin(2),7-hydroxy-6-methoxy-coumarin(3),5,7-dimethoxycoumarin(4),6,7-dimethoxycoumarin(5),bergapten(6),mexoticin(7),diosmetin(8),naringenin(9),naringin(10) and hesperetin(11),respectively.Conclusion Compounds 1,2,5~9 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
