Abstract
Objective:To study the chemical constituents of the pericarp of Citrus grandis. Methods: Compounds were isolated by several kinds of chromatographic methods. The structures were determined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence. Results: Ten coumarins were isolated from the peels of Citrus grandis. The structures of these coumarins were identified as 8-(3-hydroxy-2-methoxy-3-methylbutyl)-7-methoxy coumarin(1),mexoticin(2),epoxyaurapten(3),isomeranzin(4),meranzin hydrate(5),isomeranzin(6),isoimperatorin(7),aurapten(8),osthol(9)and 7-hydroxycoumarin(10).Conclusion:Compounds 1~4 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
