Abstract
Objective To estimate the curative effects on advanced primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC) treated by ultrasound guided percutaneous ethanol injection(PEI) combined with transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization (TACE).Methods 52 patients with PHC treated by PEI and TACE(study group)were compared with 58 patients treated only by TACE (control group). Results The tumor shrinking rate,AFP decrease, survival rate of study group were significantly higher than those in control group. Conclusion The results indicate that PEI combined TACE is an effective method for patients with PHC.
