Abstract

OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of inhaled ipratropium bromide/salbutamol combined with heparin in elderly patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).METHODS 68 patients with AECOPD were randomly divided into observation group of 38 patients and control group of 30 patients. Two groups were treated with symptomatic and supportive treatment. The control group inhaled ipratropium bromide/salbutamol,observation group were treat with ipratropium bromide/salbutamol combined with heparin.Dyspnea score and lung function changes were observed and recorded before and after the treatment.RESULTS Before treatment, dyspnea score between the 2 groups had no significant difference(P﹥0.05),But after 2 weeks of treatment, dyspnea score in both groups decreased significantly, and the observation group decreased more significantly than the control group(P﹤0.05);lung function was significantly improved in both groups after the treatment, but more significantly in the observation group(P﹤0.05);adverse reactions and coagulation function had no significant changes in both group(P﹥0.05).CONCLUSION Inhaled ipratropium bromide/albuterol combined with heparin can significantly improve the lung function and clinical symptom of AECOPD patients and have less impact on blood coagulation.
