Feasible Approaches to Deepen the Research of Chinese Historiography

In recent years,some scholars appealed for a new situation of the research of Chinese Historiography,even proposing to restart Chinese historiography.Nevertheless,their opinions on how to restart it are different from each other.In relation to the internal system of scientific theories and according to the practice in historiography,the Chinese historiography can make new progress based on the achievements.There are five comparatively feasible approaches to deepen the study of Chinese historiography:further studying the history of historical criticism and the scope of historical criticism; being engaged in the study of Chinese historiography from the perspective of academic historiography; strengthening the study of the exchange and comparative history between Chinese historiography and foreign historiography; launching the research of Chinese historiography in the view of social history; and studying it from the interdisciplinary and interactive view.
