Observation of the Curative Effects of Clarithromycin Triple Therapy in Patients with Helicobacter Pylori Infection

Objective To observe the curative effects and side effects of triple therapy(Clarithromycin;Omeprazole;Metronidazole) in treatment of patients with Helicobacter Pylori Infection.Methods 57 patients with peptic ulcer and chronic stomachitis caused by Hp were selected including 28 males and 29 females.Patients` ages varied from 18 to 65.Clarithromycin 250 mg,Omeprazole 20 mg and Metronidazole 400 mg were given to these patients twice a day for one week.Gastroscope and Hp tests were dong after 4 weeks of treating.Results 23 patients with symptoms such as abdominal pain,heartburn caused by Hp infection dispeared completely.Total effective rate is 96% without severe adverse effects.Conclusion Clarithromycin,Omeprazole and Metronidazole triple therapy has a significant curative effect in treatment of patients with Hp infection with high and safe cure rates.
