Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between the expressions of Connexion43(Cx43)protein and Survivin protein in prostate cancer. Methods Expressions of Cx43 and Survivin were detected with immunohistochemical method in95 samples of prostate cancer and20 samples of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Results In the prostate cancer samples, the positive expression rates of Cx43 and Survivin were 49.47%and76.84%;in the BPH samples, the positive expression rates of them were 100% and 0%,with statistical significance(P0.01).Correlation analysis showed a negative correlation between the expressions of Cx43 and Survivin in prostate cancer(P0.01).Conclusions The expressions of Cx43 and Survivin in prostate cancer are atively correlated. They may play important roles in the development of prostate cancer.Detection of the two expressions may be significant to evaluate the prognosis of prostate cancer.
