Abstract
Objective To study the comparability of hematocrit(Hct) result between the secondary standard hematology analyzer-based method and the reference method. Methods According to the document of NCCLS EP9-A2,we took the secondary standard hematology analyzer-based method as test method and the reference method from the document H7-A3 of NCCLS as comparative method. 40 fresh blood specimens from healthy donors were selected as samples, and assayed by the above two methods at same time. Then we evaluated their correlation and bias. Results The bias of Hct value of secondary standard hematology analyzer-based method was 0.45%-1.68%.The Correlation coefficient between the test method and comparative method was 0.998 1. Conclusions There is a small bias and good comparability of Hct value between the secondary standard hematology analyzer-based method and the reference method after the secondary standard hematology analyzer is calibrated by the fresh blood measured by reference method.
