Abstract
Based upon analysis of the historical evolution of the city spatial structure of Hancheng major questions existed in developing course of city are pointed out,at the same time several suggestions are proposed for optimization of city spatial structure,in order to strengthen the activities of historical space and create favorable inhabiting environment to adapt the rhythm and pulse of modern urban life.
