Abstract

Preparation and mechanism of the flocculants WY made from the waste wool of woolen mills were introduced.Its application to acid dyestuff wastewater treatment was analyzed.The results showed that decolorization rate reached over 96% when flocculants WY used alone,and up to 99% when mixed with a small amount of polyacrylamide coagulant or polymer ferric,and increased the settling velocity also.
