Abstract
Objective To explore relationships between serum ghrelin and cardiac troponin(cTnT) in neonates with asphyxia. Methods Forty neonates with mild asphyxia and 40 neonates with severe asphyxia were selected as study group and 40 neonates without asphyxia were selected as control group. The levels of serum ghrelin and cTnT in cord blood, during the acute phase(1-3 day) and the recovery phase(7-10 day) were detected. Results The ghrelin levels of asphyxia group were(72.35±15.56) ng/ml,(22.12±8.75) ng/ml and(33.22±12.22) ng/ml in cord blood, during the acute phase and recovery phase respectively(P0.05).In control group, the ghrelin level in cord blood was significantly higher than that of asphyxia group. The cTnT levels of asphyxia neonates were(117.61±75.45) ng/L,(195.52±129.61) ng/L and(78.04±51.48) ng/L in cord blood, during the acute phase and recovery phase significantly(P0.05).The cTnT level of cord blood in control group was lower than that of asphyxia group. The negative correlation between ghrelin and cTnT in neonates with asphyxia was indicated(r=–0.35,P0.01).Conclusions The levels of ghrelin and cTnT reflect the occurrence and development of asphyxia.
