Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy for treatment of ureteral calculi.Methods 489 patients suffered from ureteral calculi were treated by ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy during January 2004 to December 2007.Results This kind of operation was successfully carried out in 436 patients and no severe complication was observed during the operation.Conclusion Ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy for treatment of ureteral calculi is effective and safe.
