Abstract
It has been well recognized that the low speed of maximum velocity can be seen as key factors which restrained the improvement of scores of Chinese elite long jumpers. Further it is found that the insufficient muscle quality is regarded as the main reason which limited the promotion of speed of Chinese elite long jumpers. This study conducted a profound analysis on the technique characteristics of high-speed running and its effects on the jumping indexes of long jumpers. Sev- eral solution approaches were proposed.
