Clinnical application of mini-screw implant as anchorage and XIVE implant in dentition defect

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of using mini-screw implants as anchorage for molar intrusion, while using the XIVE implant to renovate the defected molar. Methods: Choose 7 patients whose mandibular first molar had cose and maxillary first molar had elongated more than 2.5mm were selected. The elongated maxillary first molar was intruded by self-drillinng mini-screw implant. At the same time, using XIVE implant to renovate the cose mandibular first molar. Rusults: 1 patient's miniscrew implant were loose and lost because of peri-implant inflammation. Other 6 patients'maxillary first molar were intruded 3mm averagely in 5 month. The effect of the treatment was satisfactory. Conclusion: For the patients whose mandibular first molar have lost and maxillary first molar elongated a lot, combined use of miniscrew implant as anchorage and XIVE implant is effective method to renovate teeth.
