Abstract

Objective To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of clinical pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated, and offer reasonable experimental data for clinical therapy. Methods Retrospectvely survey and statistical analysis were carried out in pathogenic strains and drug sensitive tests of antibioties of pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated in Nanhua hospital from Jan 2007 to Dec 2008. Results Among 256 strains 160(62.5%) come from sputum and throat mucus, and 31(12.1%) from wound swab, the proportion of these strains from ICU,neurology department and respiratory department was 41%、12.1% and 11%.The result of drug susceptibility showed that pseudomonas aeruginosa had a more than 50% resistance rate to the β-lactamases,aminogyeosides,fluoroquinolones and sulfanilamides antibiotics, respectively,a lower resistance rate to carbpenem,β-lactamases,antibiotics/inhi-bitor,and the lowest is to piperacillin/tazobanctam(8.2%) and to meropenem(14.1%). Conclusions Pseudomonas aeruginosa causes mainly respiratory tract and wound infection, and was highly resistant to some antibiotics. Thus to strengthen the monitoring of the antibiotic resistance and rational utilization of antibiotics of great importance, antibiotics should be used reasonably and all-round supervision of drug resistance should be strengthened.
