Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution and the drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated in 2011,so as to provide basis for rational use of antibiotics.METHODS The drug susceptibility testing was performed for the P.aeruginosa strains isolated from various clinical specimens between Jan and Dec 2011.The result was determined according to the CLSI,2010 edition and was analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS Of totally 462 strains of P.aeruginosa isolated,most were isolated from the sputum and the lower respiratory tract secretions,the detection rate was 72.1%.The isolates were common in the patients with respiratory system disease.P.aeruginosa strains varied in the drug resistance to 13 antibiotics,and the drug resistance rate to minocycline was 74.7%,and the strains were more sensitive to the enzyme inhibitor complex class of antibiotics than to single antibiotics.The resistance rates to imipenem and meropenem were 41.3% and 38.5%,with the trend increasing notably.The resistance rate to cephalosporins was less than 20.0%.CONCLUSION The P.aeruginosa strains isolated from the hospital show high resistance to common antibiotics.It is necessary to strengthen the detection and control of nosocomial infections.
