Abstract
The effect of kanamycin on the induced callus and buds differentiation of different alfalfa cultivars was studied.The results showed that the sensitivity to kanamycin was obviously different among cultivars and explants.The sensitivity of cotyledon to kanamycin was higher than that of hypocotyls.When concentration of kanamycin was 20 mg/L,the induced callus frequency was very low.The concentration of kanamycin can effectively restrained the callus is 15~18 mg/L in cotyledon developed while 40 mg/L in cotyledon differentiation.The sensitivity to kanamycin of hypocotyls is different with cultivars: the choice pressure of kanamycin to callus induced and differentiation of Milu is 60 mg/L and 50 mg/L respectively,while to Fuping is 80 mg/L and 60 mg/L respecitively,Gannong NO.3 is 90 mg/L and 60 mg/L respecitively.
