Analysis of Clinical Value of Donepezil Hydrochloride for Treatment of Senile Dementia

Objective To investigate the clinical value of donepezil hydrochloride in the treatment of patients with senile dementia Methods 50 patients with senile dementia were divided into two groups,with 25 patients in the control group taking piracetam treatment and the other 25 patients in the study group taking donepezil hydrochloride treatment.Clinical effects,as well as Minimental State Examination(MMSE) score before and after treatment and Activities of Daily Living Scale(ADL) score,of the two groups were observed,recorded and compared.Results Of the study group,clinical total effective rate was significantly higher(P0.05);after treatment,of both of the two groups,MMSE and ADL scores were improved,but the research group improved more significantly(P0.05).Conclusion For patients with senile dementia,donepezil hydrochloride treatment can achieve good results and significantly improve the patient's mental state,improve living activity.Therefore it is well worthy reference.
