Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of real-time tissue elastography(RTE) for the staging hepatic fibrosis. Methods 156 liver biopsies of chronic hepatitis B patients and 60 healthy people were reviewed RTE and histopathologically. The results of RTE were compared with the pathological findings. The correlations between the results were assessed. Results There were significantly different in the score of RTE of chronic hepatitis B groups and hepatic fibrosis groups. The score of RTE was significantly corelated with the pathological stages(r=0.846,P0.01).The accuracy of RTE for diagnosing the staging hepatic fibrosis was 94.5%,80.9% and 90.4%,respectively.Conclusion RTE could be used as a valuable methods for assessing liver fibrosis.
