Abstract

Objective To study the expression of estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR) and C-erbB-2 gene in breast cancer and their correlations. Methods The specimens obtained from 254 cases of breast cancer were stained by immunohistochemical SP methods for ER,PR and C-erbB-2 gene expression. Results The rate of ER,PR and C-erbB-2 expression was 55.12%,62.59% and 54.72%,respectively.The positive expression rates of ER,PR and C-erbB-2 were correlated with axillary node metastasis(P0.05).The positive expression rate of C-erbB-2 was correlated with the measurements of the tumor, organ metastases and clinical stage and had negative correlated with expression of ER、PR(P0.05).The positive expression rate of C-erbB-2 whose five years survival rate was lower than that in negative group. The positive expression rate of ER had positive correlation with the expression of PR(P0.05).The positive expression rates of ER,PR and C-erbB-2 were no relationship with the age, menses state and histological type(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of ER,PR and C-erbB-2 gene in breast carcinoma tissues has an instructive significance for leading clinical therapy and for predicting prognosis of breast carcinoma patients.
