Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of sinupret on acute secretory otitis media. Methods 148 patients(155 ears)with acute secretory otitis media were randomly divided into one of the two groups:routine treatment group and sinupret group. Results showed that 94.38% effective rate in the sinupret group, which was significant higher than 84.85% in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The study suggested that sinupret have significant effects in treating acute secretory otitis media and can avoid myringotomy(incision of the tympanic membrane)and aspiration(removal of fluids)of middle ear fluid and decrease the course of treating the diease.
