The effect evaluation of high quality nursing service demonstration project in Beijing

Objective: To evaluate the effect of quality nursing service demonstration in pilot hospitals in Beijing. Methods: Totally 174 first-class nursing inpatients who couldn't take care of themselves completely or partly were selected from 58 wards of 36 pilot hospitals using convenience sampling method. They were evaluated using checklists which were designed according to The basic nursing service standard for inpatients and Beijing norm nursing service, striving for high quality nursing service demonstration pacesetter work plan. Results: After implementing high quality nursing service demonstration project for 4 months, the overall nursing service quality in pilot hospitals improved, the basic nursing quality improved obviously. Conclusion: High quality nursing service demonstration project has made outstanding achievement. The nursing staff should pay attention to specific nursing and health education as well as improving basic nursing quality.
