Practice and experience of carrying out high-quality nursing service

Objective:To investigate the practice effects of demonstration project on high quality nursing service in our hospital.Methods:With the application of the following four documents:Guiding Principles of Nursing General Hospital classification(Trial),Basic Nursing Items of Patient in Hospital(Trial),Basic Nursing service Regulationand theCommon Clinical Nursing Technology Service Regulationpublished during the enforcement of2010 High Quality Nursing Service Demonstration Project,we conducted the project in our department.The patient's satisfaction about the nursing work,the accompany rate,the quality of care and the nurses'mistakes at work were compared between pre-and post-enforcement of the project.Results:After conduct of the project,patients were more satisfied and approved with nursing service than before its conduct and the nurse made fewer mistakes at service as well(P0.01).The quality of care was higher and the accompany rate were lower than before(P0.05).Conclusions:The enforcement of high quality nursing service demonstration project may improve the nursing quality and the evaluation of patient care.
