Abstract

ObjectiveTo study the relationship between neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) and myocardial damage,and to find evidence for early intervention of the disease.MethodsThis study consisted of 93 neonates with HIE who were detected for myocardial enzymes,troponin I,ECG and echocardiography within 24 hours after admission.Results(The higher) myocardial enzyme,the more serious pathogenetic condition was.CK-MB,CK and LDH showed significant differences between mild,moderate,and severe HIE(F=18.56-28.29,q=4.27-7.53,P0.01).There was a positive correlation between the grade of HIE and CK-MB,CK,as well as LDH(r_s=0.41-0.59,P0.05).The differences of troponin I,abnormal ECG and abnormal cardiac ultrasonogram were significant among different-degree HIE(χ~2=8.15-10.09,P0.01).Conclusion(The treatment) of HIE should be accompanied by detecting myocardial damage and carrying out early intervention.
